I wanted to make a durable dual soldering iron station for cheap with good soldering tips. I searched on the internet and found the STC T12 module on a major chinese marketplace. This kit has easily interchangeable soldering tips which can be bought for cheap, the temperature control is accurate and the PCB could be easily mounted on a front plate. I didn't chose the version with an OLED display because I wanted to keep the project cheap. The two modules need 24 V at 3A each so I needed a power supply which can handle 24V 6A. I decided to use MEAN WELL LRS-150-24, because their power supplies are cheap reliable and safe also this one is fanless. I designed the front plate in FreeCAD and then printed it on my 3D Printer (to create the letters I printed them and then marked them with a black sharpie).
